The project started out as a bi-weekly design challenge to design a desktop microphone.

The goal I set for myself was to find a form that’s clean and unexpected as a microphone, and something that can pack flat. The mic module is connected to the metal arm via magnets and can be removed to use wirelessly. Also had some fun with the CMF, without making it toy-like.
